PS3 update 2.40 is will be available on 2nd July 2008 according to Sony’s official PlayStation blog.

As we know, PS3 update 2.40 will include “XMB” access in-game and also include “trophies,” an exciting new feature.

The update also adds a mini-control panel that you can use while playing music and an internet search feature powered by Google that allows you to initiate search directly from the XMB (similar to what we added to the PSP recently).

In addition, when you’re using the XMB or accessing the XMB from in-game, the current time and date will be displayed in the upper right hand corner.

To preview how the XMB and Trophies work, check out the video below:

Spain is the champions of UEFA EURO 2008.

The winning goal is scored by Spanish Liverpool striker Fernando Torres at 33 mins of the Final match between Germany and Spain.

As mentioned in the previous post, Michael Ballack has never been a winner in major tournaments like 2002 Champions League Final, 2002 World Cup Final, 2008 Champions League Final, 2008 English League Cup Final. It’s probably remain the true as he is approaching the end of his soccer career.

Ruslana Korshunova, a 20-year-old female Russian super model, plunged to her death from a Manhattan apartment on Saturday in an apparent suicide.

Local media, citing police sources, said there was no sign of a struggle inside her apartment and that Ruslana Korshunova was believed to have leaped to her death.

A friend said Ruslana Korshunova had just returned from a modelling job in Paris and seemed “on top of the world.”

“There were no signs, I don’t see one reason why she would do that.” an unidentified friend quoted.

Ruslana Korshunova

A model who walked runways around the world and graced the covers of fashion magazines fell from a Manhattan building Saturday in an apparent suicide, New York City police said.

Ruslana Korshunova, known for her distinctive long hair and green eyes, was apparently killed in the fall at 2:30 p.m. onto busy Water Street outside the Financial District condo building where she lived.

It appeared she fell from the balcony of her ninth-floor apartment, police said, where a large hole was visible in construction netting hanging on the front of the 12-story building.

Investigators were still examining the scene late Saturday, but a police source said there was no sign of a struggle in the apartment. It was unclear if anyone else was in the apartment at the time of the fall or if a suicide note was found. The city medical examiner is to determine the cause of death.

Uga VI Dies

Uga VI, Georgia’s beloved English bulldog mascot, died Friday night from heart failure in Savannah, according to his owner, Cecelia Seiler.

“He didn’t suffer,” Seiler said of Uga VI, her 10-year-old dog. “He lived right here in my den with me for 10 years. He was a happy dog.”

Uga VII’s readiness to take the field for the 2008 football season is a topic for school officials, Cecilia Seiler said, and none could be reached immediately Saturday morning.

Uga VI

Uga VI, who became UGA’s mascot in 1999, was the son of Uga V, the only college mascot ever to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated. He turned 10 in July and would have been the only one of the dogs other than Uga I to serve past his 10th birthday.

Burial for Uga VI is planned for Monday in Sanford Stadium at the University of Georgia, according to a Savannah Morning News report.
