Levin Angsana
Levin Angsana, 22-year-old Singapore Management University (SMU) first-year student, is an Indonesian who is a Singapore permanent resident.
A group of five SMU Sailing Club students went out to sea off Raffles Marina at 1pm on Thursday to train on a 24-footer keel boat.
Levin Angsana had been reaching over to try to retrieve the boat’s sail, which had been caught by a gust of wind and had ended up in the water. He tried to get near the back of the boat where it was easier to climb back in, but failed.
The skipper, ex-national sailor Renfred Tay, 23, jumped in and managed to grab him, but Levin Angsana apparently kept struggling. When Renfred Tay tried to grab a life jacket a short distance away, Levin Angsana went under.
None of the crew were wearing life jackets.
The Maritime and Port Authority is conducting the ongoing search, and the police are assisting.

We feel sorry for him but at the same time if you are a non swimmer you are not advice to go and learn sailing, why did the school club enroll him and how come he did not wear a life veast during the training session? Anyone forgotten our sailor met mishap if not wrong he is a swimmer. Who can forsee the wind direction or weather who can control it I think only god can.
