Timothy Wright, 61 year old Gospel singer and pastor, was critically injured in a crash on Friday in central Pennsylvania.

Betty Wright, his 58 year old wife, was killed in the crash. His grandson D.J. Wright was critically injured as well.

The driver of the wrong-way car, John Pick, 44, of Lewisburg, also died, police said.

Timothy Wright is the pastor at Grace Tabernacle Christian Center in New York City.

He has released more than a dozen gospel recordings, and his latest album, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,” came out last year.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in the southern French town of Nice for the delivery of their twins.

The mayor of Nice has said that the Jolie-Pitt twins will be made honourary citizens of the town and he can’t wait to sign the birth certificate of the twins.

Jolie, 33, arrived at the hospital on Sunday by helicopter and has a suite of rooms reserved for her and her partner Brad Pitt, which have been sealed off by bodyguards.

Doctor Michael Sussmann said, “She will give birth in the next two weeks. I can’t really say more than that. It really isn’t an emergency. She was booked in well in advance. We are not talking about premature birth.”

“We have reserved four rooms for her and her partner and also for her protection teams. We believe the security concerns they have raised are legitimate. She is a pregnant woman. She is perfectly entitled to protect her privacy. We should let her breathe,” he added.

Jolie and Pitt, 44, already have four children, three of them adopted and the fourth, Shiloh, their biological daughter born in Namibia in 2006.

“Pregnant man” Thomas Beatie, the US man was born a woman before undergoing gender realignment surgery, has given birth to a healthy baby girl.

The birth, at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon, was natural.

Thomas Beatie, who is legally male but decided to keep his female sex organs during chest reconstruction surgery and testosterone therapy, attracted worldwide attention in April after revealing his pregnancy.

Formula One points leader Ferrari’s Felipe Massa set the pace despite crashing out during the first practice session for Sunday’s British Grand Prix.

Massa, the Brazilian who leads the Formula One standings by two points, climbed out of his car a few minutes after the crash and did not appear to be hurt.

He already had posted the fastest time in the first practice of 1 minute, 19.575 seconds when he spun on some oil at the end of the fastest straight of the Silverstone circuit.

His car spun 180 degrees and went into the safety wall backward, damaging the rear.

McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen crossing the finish line 0.012 slower. McLaren teammate Lewis Hamilton was third, 0.048 behind.

Former Charger safety Terrence Kiel was killed late Friday after he was thrown from a Chevy sedan he was driving. He was 27 years old.

A witness saw Terrence Kiel driving the wrong way down a road before his 2004 Chevy sedan rolled near an intersection in Scripps Ranch, a part of San Diego.

Terrence Kiel was ejected from his car, and was barely breathing when paramedics reached him and he died about an hour later.

Friends had tried to keep Terrence Kiel from driving home from the party. It is not known whether Kiel had been under the influence of drugs or alcohol until toxicology tests were performed.

Levin Angsana, 22-year-old Singapore Management University (SMU) first-year student, is an Indonesian who is a Singapore permanent resident.

A group of five SMU Sailing Club students went out to sea off Raffles Marina at 1pm on Thursday to train on a 24-footer keel boat.

Levin Angsana had been reaching over to try to retrieve the boat’s sail, which had been caught by a gust of wind and had ended up in the water. He tried to get near the back of the boat where it was easier to climb back in, but failed.

The skipper, ex-national sailor Renfred Tay, 23, jumped in and managed to grab him, but Levin Angsana apparently kept struggling. When Renfred Tay tried to grab a life jacket a short distance away, Levin Angsana went under.

None of the crew were wearing life jackets.

The Maritime and Port Authority is conducting the ongoing search, and the police are assisting.

Dara Torres, 41 year old and with a 2-year-old daughter, completed her improbable Olympic comeback, making the U.S. team for the fifth time by winning the 100-meter freestyle at the U.S. Olympic trials.

Dara Torres got off to a blazing start and guarded her lead on the furious return lap to win in 53.78, beating out Natalie Coughlin’s 53.83.

Dara Torres, who made her Olympic debut at the 1984 Los Angeles Games, has twice retired from competitive swimming. She is the first U.S. swimmer to make five Olympic teams.

“I’m ecstatic. I can’t believe it,” Torres said. “It’s sort of bittersweet for me because I’ve made my fifth Olympic team, but I’m going to be away from my daughter for a month and that’s really hard emotionally. But I’m happy to be going to Beijing.”

Torres calls resistance stretching her “secret weapon.” Bob Cooley, who invented the discipline, describes it in less-modest terms. According to Cooley, over a two-week period in 1999, his flexibility system turned Torres “from being an alternate on the relay team to the fastest swimmer in America.” The secret to Torres’s speed, Cooley says, is that his technique not only makes her muscles more flexible but also increases their ability to shorten more completely, and when muscles shorten more completely, they produce greater power and speed. “What do race-car drivers do when they want to go faster?” Cooley asks. “They don’t spend more hours driving around the track. Former U.S. Sen. Jesse Helms, who served 30 years in Congress, died on 4th July at 1:15 a.m.

Helms’ former chief of staff, Jimmy Broughton says the former senator, age 86, died of natural causes in Raleigh. “He was very comfortable,” Broughton said.

“America lost a great public servant and true patriot today,” White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said.

President Bush said at the time the Senate was “losing an institution. Sen. Helms has been a tireless defender of our nation’s freedom and a champion of democracy abroad.”
