Carbon NanotubeTests on lab mice have showed that Carbon nanotubes can be as dangerous as asbestos fibres, potentially causing cancer in he lining of the lungs.

Carbon nanotubes are structures just a few billionths of a metre across, with applications in high tech materials, electronics and medicine.

“I welcome this valuable research that represents a part of the growing scientific literature into exploring the potential toxicology of nanoparticles of various shapes, sizes and compositions,” added Welland, a professor of nanotechnology at the University of Cambridge in the U.K.

Amantadine

Amantadine, sold under the brand name Symmetrel, is an synthetic antiviral drug used both as an antiviral and an antiparkinsonic and is used to treat parkinsonian side effects that include tremors, difficulty walking, and slack muscle tone.

In October 1966, it was approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

Amantadine, which is approved only for use in humans under international livestock regulations, is reported to have been used in China poultry farming in an effort to protect the birds against avian influenza.

Experts fear drugs may become quickly useless to fight an unusually severe flu season or the emergence of a new strain of flu that may cause a pandemic.

The World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have been collecting samples of the annual flu viruses to check them against the four available flu drugs: amantadine and rimantadine, and the newer drugs Tamiflu and Relenza.

Dr. Brian Weiss began his career as a psychiatrist and was well respected by the time he was 35.

In 1979, he became chairman of the psychiatry department at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami.

Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when Catherine, one of his patients, began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks.

After a year of conventional psychiatric treatment with little progress, Dr. Weiss decided to try hypnosis, a therapy he’d used successfully before.

His skepticism eroded when Catherine began to channel messages from “the space between lives,” which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss’s family and his dead son.

Using past life regression therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career.
