“Nikki broke a house rule and we had a disagreement, and I took her car keys away,” said Christos Catsouras, Nikki’s father.

Then, her family says, Nikki did something out of character. She took the keys to her father’s Porsche 911 Carrera, a car that goes zero to 60 miles an hour in less than five seconds. She had never driven the Porsche before.

According to state highway patrol reports, at approximately 1:45 p.m. last Halloween, Nikki Catsouras was traveling 100 mph on State Route 241, near Lake Forest, Calif., when she clipped another car and lost control, going across lanes over the median and slamming into a concrete tollbooth. She was killed instantly.

As if the tragic accident was not enough for her poor parents to endure, the California Highway Patrol released the graphic pictures of the accident, and are in hot water for it!

“Her head was more or less cut in two and sort of cleaved and then smashed. It’s nothing that anyone should ever have to see,” said Michael Fertik, the founder of ReputationDefender, a company that helps clients such as the Catsouras family remove items from the Internet.

The pictures, taken by California Highway Patrol (CHiPs) officers and e-mailed outside the department, became so prevalent that Lesli Catsouras stopped checking her e-mail.

Nikki’s younger sisters were forbidden to use the Internet, and 16-year-old Danielle was taken out of school to be home schooled for fear her peers might confront her with the photos.

A lawsuit against the California Highway Patrol for allegedly releasing the accident scene pictures has been filed by the parents of Nikki Catsouras.

Reportedly, Ebay removed her ad, as Ebay does not allow the sale of human beings, body parts or relationships.

Ruslana Korshunova, known for her distinctive long hair and green eyes, was apparently killed in the fall at 2:30 p.m. onto busy Water Street outside the Financial District condo building where she lived.

It appeared she fell from the balcony of her ninth-floor apartment, police said, where a large hole was visible in construction netting hanging on the front of the 12-story building.

Investigators were still examining the scene late Saturday, but a police source said there was no sign of a struggle in the apartment. It was unclear if anyone else was in the apartment at the time of the fall or if a suicide note was found. The city medical examiner is to determine the cause of death.

On 17th May 2008, Mrs Lee Kuan Yew, whose maiden name is Kwa Geok Choo, underwent surgery and was put under close observation.

On 14th May 2008, Mrs Lee Kuan Yew was transferred to a normal ward.

On 12th May 2008, Mrs Lee Kuan Yew was taken to the National Neuroscience Institute, where a brain scan revealed massive right intra-cerebral haemorrhage. She was subsequently admitted to the Neurointensive Care Unit at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

MRS Lee Kuan Yew suffered another stroke while in hospital on Tuesday.

A brief statement from Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew’s office on Tuesday night said it was a massive haemorrhage.

‘She is currently critically ill, with guarded prognosis for recovery,’ the statement said.

Mrs Lee, 87, suffered a stroke on May 12 and was taken to the National Neuroscience Institute for an urgent brain scan, which revealed bleeding in the right side of the brain.

She was subsequently admitted to the Neurointensive Care Unit at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

The haemorrhage stabilised after two days of close monitoring and treatment, and she was transferred to the general ward on May 14.

But she remained in serious condition, and underwent surgery three days later.

On June 1, the Minister Mentor’s Office said in a statement that she was making slow but steady progress since her surgery.

Mrs Lee suffered a stroke in 2003 when she and Mr Lee were in London on a European tour. The bleeding was also in the right side of the brain.

She recovered soon after and was well enough to continue accompanying Mr Lee on official trips.
