Jevic Transportation of Delanco, N.J, a closely held U.S. trucking company, is shutting down after 27 years citing high fuel costs, increasing insurance costs, the economic downturn and tightening credit markets as the reasons for its shut down.
“We greatly appreciate the loyalty of our many Jevic customers,” David H. Gorman, Jevic’s president and CEO, said. “It has been our pleasure to provide solutions to your transportation needs over these many years.”

75,000 people turned out to hear Obama rally in Portland this afternoon. This is his largest crowd to date according to the campaign.
Here are some of the things he said during the rally:
“I don’t give up on things, we’ve gotta make choices and we can’t be everywhere at once,”
“We will have the majority of pledged delegates at that point and obviously are going to make the argument to any superdelegates remaining that we should be the nominee,”
“I just want everybody to understand, that Senator Clinton and I have had a terrific contest, she has been a formidable candidate, she has been smart and tough and determined and she has worked as hard as she can. And she has run an extraordinary campaign, it has been an extraordinary campaign,”
“And look, we have real differences on certain issues, but whatever differences exist between myself and Senator Clinton pale in comparison to the differences with the other side.”

Ben Jealous or Benjamin Todd Jealous, 35, former news executive and lifelong activist, has been chosen as the new NAACP’s next president, the youngest in its 99-year history.
NAACP stands for National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
The 64-member board met and voted in Baltimore on Friday and when the 34-21 vote was announced, “no one clapped or celebrated,” one board member said.
Another said “when we left the room, many were in disbelief.”
Probably they are jealous of Ben.

Mike Huckabee, former Republican presidential candidate, who has endorsed John McCain, joked that an unexpected offstage noise was Democrat Barack Obama looking to avoid a gunman, during a speech before the National Rifle Association convention Friday afternoon in Louisville, Kentucky.
“That was Barack Obama, he just tripped off a chair, he’s getting ready to speak,” said Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor, to audience laughter. “Somebody aimed a gun at him and he dove for the floor.”
Huckabee then issued a statement of apology:
During my speech at the N.R.A., a loud noise backstage, that sounded like a chair falling, distracted the crowd and interrupted my speech. I made an off hand remark that was in no way intended to offend or disparage Sen. Obama. I apologize that my comments were offensive. That was never my intention.

Neville Chamberlain, a British Conservative politician and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1937 to 1940, caved into and appeased Hitler in 1938.
Bush Compares Obama To Nazi Appeasers.
Here’s what Bush said:
Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: ‘Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.
Radio talk show host Kevin James attempted to defend President Bush’s comments comparing Barack Obama to Nazi appeasers. However, Kelvn James seems to know nothing about the historical facts about Neville Chamberlain and what happened as Hitler took power and started a war with Europe.
Here is the video featuring James compared Obama to Neville Chamberlain:

NARAL Pro-Choice America, a leading national pro-choice group, endorses Barack Obama today. Before that, the leading abortion rights advocacy organization has supported rival Hillary Rodham Clinton throughout her political career.
Here is what NARAL Pres. Nancy Keenan, said in a press release:
Pro-choice Americans have been fortunate to have two strong pro-choice candidates in Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton, both of whom have inspired millions of new voters to participate in this historic presidential race,” Keenan said. “Today, we are proud to put our organization’s grassroots and political support behind the pro-choice candidate whom we believe will secure the Democratic nomination and advance to the general election. That candidate is Sen. Obama.
