Jim McKay, born on 24th Sep 1921, was an American television sports journalist. He is best known for hosting ABC’s Wide World of Sports covering a wide variety of special events, including horse races such as the Kentucky Derby, golf events such as the British Open, and the Indianapolis 500.

Jim Mckay died on 7th Jun 2008.

The parents of Wong Liu Tsong, meaning “frosted yellow willows”, later known as Anna May Wong, were second-generation Chinese-Americans.

At the age of 9, Anna May Wong begged filmmakers for parts, earning herself the nickname “C.C.C.” or “Curious Chinese Child”.

At the age of 17, Anna May Wong played her first leading role as Lotus Flower in “The Toll of the Sea”. The story, based loosely on Madama Butterfly, written by Frances Marion.

At the age of 19, Anna May Wong was cast in a supporting role as a Mongol slave in “The Thief of Bagdad” that grossed more than $2 million.

In 1928, Anna May Wong left Hollywood for Europe. A year later, Anna May Wong made her last silent film, Piccadilly, and caused a sensation in the UK.

Anna May Wong return to Hollywood in 1930. That year Nov, Anna May Wong’s mother was hit and killed by an automobile.

In 1934, the Mayfair Mannequin Society of New York voted her “The World’s best-dressed woman”.

In 1938, Look Magazine named her “The World’s most beautiful Chinese girl.”

In 1949, Wong’s father died in Los Angeles at the age of 91.

Anna May Wong was scheduled to play the role of Auntie Liang in the film production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Flower Drum Song but on 2nd Feb 1961, she died due to a heart attack in Santa Monica, California.

Anna May Wong was 56 when she died and was never married.

Katie Rees won the Miss Nevada USA 2007 title in a state pageant held in Las Vegas on 8 October 2006.

She was dethroned, by the Miss Universe Organization with the approval of pageant co-owner Donald Trump on 21 December 2006, following the release of pictures of her semi-naked, intimately kissing another woman, sucking the nipples of other women, and simulating cunnilingus and fellatio at a Florida nightclub three years prior.

On 27 January 2007, Celebrity Web Site TMZ.com published one of the sets of photos that got Katie Rees in trouble with the Miss Universe Organization.

On 6 August 2007, Katie Rees appeared on the television show Dr. Phil on an episode entitled “Caught in the Act.

On 6 February 2008, Katie Rees was arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer after a traffic stop at 3:00 a.m. in Las Vegas.

David Cook broke down after his name was announced as the winner.

Cook sing “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”

All the judges thought he was in fine voice, with Cowell calling his performance phenomenal.

Archuleta sing “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.”

Randy Jackson called flawless.

“Taking everything into account, Round 1 goes to Archuleta,” said Cowell.

Round 2:

Cook sings “Dream Big”

Archuleta sings “In This Moment”

Cowell thought Archuleta chose the better song and gave the round to him.

Round 3:

Cook sings “The World I Know.

Jackson said it was the perfect song for him

Cowell pointed out it wasn’t the kind of showstopper that would win the contest. “You should have sung ‘Hello’ or ‘Billie Jean’,” Cowell said, referring to songs that had won Cook praise earlier in the season.

Archuleta sings “Imagine”

“Tonight I think we’ve witnessed one of the great finals,” said Cowell. “Here’s the difference in my opinion: you came out here tonight to win and what we have witnessed is a knockout.”
