David Cook sings “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” by Roberta Flack.

Randy says Simon shouldn’t have picked something as predictable as “this older song” so that David Cook could have rocked.

Paula says “That is one of my favorite songs and you’re my second favorite person who sings it.”

David Cook, American Idol Top 3, chose “Dare You To Move” by Switchfoot. He felt it was the appropriate song for the this moment.

Randy said it was a great song choice, but performance wise it wasn’t his best and thought it was a bit pitchy.
