Chris Snyder, Arizona Diamondbacks’ catcher, was diagnosed with a left testicular fracture after he was hit with a foul ball in the groin area on Monday night.
According to eMedicine.com, a testicular rupture or fractured of the testis refers to a rip or tear in the tunica albuginea resulting in extrusion of the testicular contents.
As of Tuesday Snyder was placed on the 15-day disabled list and now he is expected to have surgery- despite an earlier report.
