PSP 4.05 firmware update includes new visualizers for music playback, a feature that will be welcome by those who use their PlayStation Portable for listening to music, among other features.
Sony has not mention what other features it will also released in PSP 4.05 firmware update which will be released very soon.
Eric Lempel, Director of PlayStation Network Operations posted over on the official PlayStation blog:
I wanted to give a quick heads up to everyone that a new PSP firmware update, v4.05, will be released soon. We know that more and more of you are listening to music on your PSP, and this update will add new visualizers for music playback, among other features. Enjoy!
It’s been almost four whole weeks since Sony released the PSP 4.01 firmware update on June 25th. We will let you know when Sony released PSP 4.05 firmware update.

PS3 update 2.40 is will be available on 2nd July 2008 according to Sony’s official PlayStation blog.
As we know, PS3 update 2.40 will include “XMB” access in-game and also include “trophies,” an exciting new feature.
The update also adds a mini-control panel that you can use while playing music and an internet search feature powered by Google that allows you to initiate search directly from the XMB (similar to what we added to the PSP recently).
In addition, when you’re using the XMB or accessing the XMB from in-game, the current time and date will be displayed in the upper right hand corner.

PSP update 3.95 was released on the 8th April 8 2008. With PSP firmware update 3.95 come two features.
Firstly, you can add custom button configuration for PlayStation One game playback by going to [Controller Settings] > [Assign Buttons] and then selecting [Custom].
