Why I Removed Digg Social Bookmarking

Digg has suspended my account. When I try to login on the 14th May 2008, I was greeted with the following message:

Your account is invalid

If you have any questions, please contact support@digg.com.

I then email support@digg.com to ask why they suspend my account.

Here is their reply:

Hi from Digg.com,

Your account was reported to us as being in violation of our Terms of Service
(http://digg.com/tos) for spamming Digg. We must be vigilant in protecting against
activities that compromise the Digg community, this decision is final and irreversible.

It’s a pity that Digg choose to suspend my account as they contributed 8% of Richard Palace Dot Com Web Site Traffic since I changed my blogging strategy on 13th May 2008. So if you have a Digg account, treasure it.

I will be searching for the next Digg alternative, which at the moment, is Propeller, according to Google Analytics. If you know a better one, do share with us.
